Political Circus

about

Political Circus is a new song from my "Movement Music Collections ". Political Circus is about the 2016 election. It questions if these people are who they say they are and do they have what it takes to really run the country. I express my skepticism of all the candidates in a metaphorical type style over a relaxed medium tempo beat.

REVIEWS:
The Richmond Standard

Rapper O-naje is known for spreading wisdom with his rhymes, but the Pinole Valley High alum may have topped himself on his latest track, Political Circus.

O-naje, who grew up in Hercules, has strong ties with the Richmond community and currently resides in Oakland, recently invited the Richmond Standard to listen to the new song. What we heard was a scathing, spot-on critique on current American politics over a far more pleasant beat.

Political Circus targets the ongoing Presidential campaign and rejects falling into the trap of regurgitating political party slogans or causes. Just the opposite, O-naje takes a non-partisan approach in that no presidential candidates or parties are spared from criticism. The media takes a beating in the song, as well.

We we felt this graph summed up O-naje’s message in Political Circus:

“I’m not here to tell you on which candidate to cast your vote. All I’m saying is understand that this charade is a mixture of truth and lies. It’s deceit and disguise. And who plays this game the best in the end, is who will collect the prize.”

Political Circus Lyrics

Political circus
Got us all so nervous
They all got an agenda
Tell me whose the pretender

Is it red or its blue
It's it black or its white
The only thing that should matter if it's wrong or its right

Who are these folks they say should run our country. Moreover like strangers in the night, For my rights would they truly fight? See a vision like mine and whose values are aligned with equality of all make justice easy to find. A weekend at Bernie's sounds cool but can I do 4 years or maybe even 8 whose really gonna take the wait so we woman, blacks, gays could all be straight. And with Hillary I got a date hope she's not late cause i been stood up before and that's a feeling i truly hate. Or should I take a Cruz to get rid of my blues and find peace of mind though then I recall all the wrecks cruises been having lately maybe I'll decline. And these Trumped-up stories pervading
Every News station for the next outrageous comment got every publication patiently waiting such a gullible, naive mislead nation. Though I'm not ready to pput my paso's on the great white dope... You spew words of filth I know yo mama would be ashamed of you go wash yo mouth out wit soap. Another day another story more bull to cope and I quote "Laziness is a trait in the blacks...Black guys counting my money! I hate it" end quote...

I'm not not here to tell you on which candidate to caste your vote. All I'm saying is understand that this charade is a mixture of truth and lies, deceit and disguise, and who plays this game best is who will in the end collect the prize.....
